Borno Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps said it had captured three Internally Displaced Persons for purportedly being in control of vandalized high pressure copper links.

The commandant of the corps, Abdullahi Ibrahim, who expressed this in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Maiduguri, said the suspects, Bukar, Abdu Idi and Modu Mairanbe, were captured in Kalari zone of Konduga Local Government range of Borno State.

Ibrahim said the three suspects were captured with around one pickup-heap of high strain copper links at Kalari along Konduga, close Aloe dam territory.

The wires were property of Yola Electric Distribution Company that were brought down from high strain posts by windstorm.

"The order got the data through our observation group checking offices and other basic foundations in the region.

"Bukar said it was the first occasion when he was taking part in the demonstration, yet Abdu had been doing it for quite a while," said the commandant.(NAN)
